Miss Universe 2024: Saudi Arabia sends first candidate to beauty pageants

27-year-old Rumi Al Qahdani is expected to make history as the first candidate from Saudi Arabia in the Miss Universe 2024 pageant.

Saudi Arabia has decided to send a candidate to the Miss Universe 2024 pageant for the first time, with 27-year-old Rumi Al Qahdani making her international debut.

The 27-year-old hails from Riyadh. She works as a model but also a digital content creator and a few days ago she was chosen to represent her home country in beauty pageants.

“It is an honor to participate in the Miss Universe 2024 pageant. This marks Saudi Arabia's first participation in the Miss Universe pageant,” she wrote on her personal Instagram account.

Apart from the crown of Miss Saudi Arabia, Rumi Al Qahdani has won many beauty titles like Miss Middle East, Miss Arab World Peace 2021 and Miss Woman.

However, Rumi Al Qahdani did not exclusively deal with fashion. Compared to most of his peers, his academic career was equally remarkable.

She holds a degree in dentistry, speaks English, French and Arabic and is an inspiration to many women around the world.
