The day before the arrest of activist Mahmood Ghalil, the Columbia University graduate student sent a two -sided letter to the Internal Security Department accused of participating in “antisemitic demonstrations and disruption activities”.

His lawyers say that the letter is now in the center of the Trump administration on Khalil.

The letter dated March 7 was issued by the legal committee on the day when the Trump administration filed it in the Immigration Court. Rubio writes that the continuous presence of the Calile in the United States “has serious adverse effects, and compulsory US foreign policy will compromise.”

But Galle’s lawyers say the government did not provide additional evidence to explain the basis for Rubio’s decision.

“Two sides. That’s all,” said Mark Von Ter Houd, one of the lawyers of Galle. “Not there.”

Lawyers of the Homeland Security Department released their evidence against legal permanent resident Khalil A Immigration Judge in Louisiana ordered them to do so At a hearing on Tuesday.

The Trump administration is trying to deport a 30 -year -old man who played an important role in campus demonstrations last year. Judge Jamens said he would judge whether he could deport the Calilee on Friday, or whether he should be released. No matter what side loses, the Immigration Appeal Board attracts.

The case of the Trump administration has become an important test of how far the Trump administration can deport non -citizen opponents. Khalil insists on expressing support for the Palestinians in Gaza, while administrative authorities accuse Hamas of supporting terrorism.

The legal case of the Ghalle continues in many tracks. When a Immigration Judge considers evidence against him, Calith’s lawyers challenge the detention of the Federal Court in New Jersey on March 8.

After the snow agents arrested the Ghalil on March 8 and sent it to Luciana, Rubio said that Rubio had canceled the green card.

Rubio rely on the law of rarely used from immigration and national law in 1952, which authorizes the state secretary to order the deportation of the United States, and the secretary believes that “the US has serious foreign policy consequences.”

But in 1990, after the Cold War was over, the legislators changed the law to protect the legal “legitimate” beliefs, reports or associations within the United States, and the existence of a foreigner in the United States increased the standard for being deported.

Caliel’s lawyers say that Rubio’s letter alone did not meet that high quality.

During a zoom meeting with reporters on Thursday, Van Ter Houd said, “His commitment, quote Unquote, has nothing to do with foreign policy.” “What is he talking about? He talks about the first amendments in the United States and the impact of the United States.”

A few days after Khalil’s arrest and detained, domestic security officials accused him of many additional civil violations. They allege that he has stopped information about his 2024 Green Card application, including his involvement with the Palestinian activists at the University of Columbia and his work with the United Nations Relief Institute.

Calile’s lawyers deny those allegations. The government filed additional documents on Wednesday in support of those allegations, saying, “But it is zero to do with foreign policy accusations.

Freedom speech lawyers argue that they violate the US constitution by targeting the diaspora for their actions and their political beliefs. Many students and scholars who have been detained and detained have challenged the arrest of the constitution.
