STOIXIMAN SUPER LEAGUE
The April 14 match between PAOK and Olympiacos was postponed following a joint request from both teams.
A few hours after the conference league draw, which brought Fenerbahce and PAOK the Olympic opponent against Brooks for the “8” of the competition, both teams asked the organizer with their collective request, as they had the right. The match scheduled for 4/14 has been postponed. In fact, PAOK will host Olympiakos in a derby between them as part of the 5th matchday.
And the Stoiximan Super League announced with an official announcement on Sunday (14/4) that the two teams' match in Toumba has been postponed, three days after the two teams' first matches in Europe against Fenerbahce and Bruges respectively.
The notification in this regard states:
“PAE Olympiacos and PAE PAOK exercised the right derived from Article 22, Paragraph 4 of the Football Competition Regulations (KAP) and submitted a written request to postpone their match due to their participation in the quarter-final stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
As a result, the match for Matchday 5 of the Stoixman Super League Playoffs (Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 19:30) has been postponed.”
Apart from the Toumba derby between PAOK and Olympiakos, Panathinaikos – Lamia, AEK – Aris were also scheduled for that day.
And it remains to be seen whether the 5th match will be postponed for the whole day or only the postponement of the already official PAOK – Olympiacos derby. The entire Championship has one blank date to go back to, especially the playoffs, and that is Easter Wednesday (8/5).
But if one or both teams make it to the semi-finals, the issue of dates and completion of the league competition becomes much bigger.
